A web toy I made that was born out of an issue I was having with Illustrator where I wanted to be able to randomly combine multiple fonts without having to do it manually. I had only intended to make this for the specific purpose of whatever project I was working on at the time but then realized you could make some pretty cool animations with it by changing fonts strategically. Even just alternating the slash character between two different typefaces would give a cool effect a lot of the time. See what you're able to make with it or just try out some of the presets on the right side here: The Font Boggler. There is so much more I want to add to this, it is an ongoing project. I was invited to give a presentation on this tool at IDEO Cambridge.

Preset from the Font Boggler. Some of my favorite modes are the ones where colors are alternated and the typefaces stay the same.
Font Boggler landing page. The interface has preset menu to the right that can be used both as a tutorial and a way to save a cool configuration you stumbled upon in your own exploration. The menu to the left is the main control panel and then there is also a menu for changing colors and one for inputting your own text. I'm partial to an interface that is only so complex as all of its options can fit on the screen at once.

While working I found it annoying that I would lose a certain configuration I liked while changing setting so I made a way to save presets as you go to go back at any point.
